Michelle Bratsafolis received her B.A. in American Studies from Brandeis University and her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law. She has studied digital photography and alternative photographic processes at both the International Center of Photography and the Penumbra Foundation in New York City. She also completed the Studio Intensive Program of the National Academy School of Fine Arts in New York City, where she pursued her interests in alternative photographic processes, painting, and sculpture. She has exhibited her work in the United States and abroad, and her work is in several private collections. Bratsafolis served on the Brandeis University Arts Council from 2015-2020 reviewing faculty proposals seeking funding for special art, music, and theater programs to benefit university students and the community at large. She lives and works in New York City.
